Nothing happened today. Or more accurately, today didn’t happen. So no story to tell.
We lost this day into a black hole somewhere out there. Technically, we won’t be crossing the 180° line until tomorrow … but the IDL is very squiggly in this part of the world, making the date changeover a bit more complicated. We set our clocks forward an hour last night to Fiji time, thus losing today instead of tomorrow. One of the vagaries of traveling around the world that we have to live with ;-)

Oh fun. That is the map that I looked up last week when I thought you were getting near to the dateline. Great map! OF course, you know I love maps, and different map projections (how they look on a flat surface) fascinate me. On to tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteYup, a whole day into the black hole. You won't have the luxury of regaining that lost day on your return ... you're not returning! Never mind, that lost day might have been horrid. On to tomorrow!
