Excursion Planning Coming Along

Gulf Waters RV Resort — Port Aransas, Texas

The world is a book ...Seven short months from now we will be on board Insignia.  In fact, we will be at sea, heading towards our first port of call.

I’ve been busy researching the various ports we will be visiting on our RTW.  I have completed my first run through and have shoreside plans for 105 of our 113 port days.  A number of them will be private tours.  And I have pages and pages of fluid DIY exploration ideas for the rest of them.

None of my plans are etched in stone, however.  Some of my initial thoughts might change during the second run through I started a few days ago.  I am especially concerned about the high temperatures we will encounter — with or without humidity — in many of the ports.  For that reason, some of my DIY plans may end up becoming private tours just so we have a cool haven to retire to while we are out and about.

Whatever our shoreside activities end up being, they won’t magically happen on their own.  Time to once again don my “researcher hat” and get to work.
